District Collector TK Sridevi on Sunday unveiled the statue of former President APJ Abdul Kalam here at Rajiv Vidhya Mission office premises.

On the occasion, the Collector said that people should develop scientific approach to eradicate social evils and superstitions. Despite having all the resources the district is lagging behind in development because of superstitions, the Collector said. While congratulating the organizers of the Science Forum, the Collector exhorted teachers and the forum members to inculcate scientific knowledge in society. She also congratulated students for their contribution in installing Kalam statue and asked them to fallow his ideals as well.
