Etela inaugurates water project at Vemulavada

Finance Minister Etela Rajender here on Saturday said drinking water is being provided to Vemulawada from Lower Maneru Dam at a cost of Rs 13 crore. Addressing the media after inaugurating the water project at Vemulawada Nagar panchayat office, he claimed that the TRS government completed the drinking water project in 10 months, which was pending for the last 10 years. Recalling Chief Minister KCR’s assurance to provide drinking water to every family in the State, the Finance Minister said the government was committed to the welfare of the public.

He said the government was preparing plans to develop Vemulawada temple, which was also known as ‘Kasi’ of south India. The Chief Minister was planning to develop temples in Telangana State on par with those in Seemandhra. Listing out the welfare schemes being implemented in the State, Rajender praised KCR for his commitment to achieve ‘Golden Telangana’. He directed the officials to resolve the grievances received at the Prajavani programme. Joint Collector Pousami Basu, DRO Veera Bramaiah, RDOs Chandra Shekar, Biksha Naik, Srinivas Reddy and Tahsildars participated in the programme.
