MP Vinod Kumar on Monday wrote to the Union Minister for HRD urging him to set up a regional study centre of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in Karimnagar. In the letter, the MP said that the district had a large number of minorities and a study centre would enable poor minority youth to pursue their career.

It could become a skill development centre, which would provide either employment or self-employment opportunities to minority youth, the MP said. Vinod Kumar further said that the study centre would not only be useful to the minorities in Karimnagar but also to those in Medak, Nizamabad and Adilabad districts.

The MP assured the Union minister that the Telangana State government was willing to provide lands to establish MANUU study centres.
