Mother, boyfriend 'torture' child for being nuisance at home

A 26-year-old woman was detained by the Neredmet police on charges of injuring and harassing her four-year-old son at her house in Moulali on Tuesday. The accused woman Reshma, who was living in flat number 401 of Afzal towers located in Neredmet got separated from her husband Chand Pasha from Moula Ali and was living with her boyfriend Mahesh a resident of Neredmet and native of Warangal.

26-year-old woman was detained by the Neredmet police on charges of injuring and harassing her four-year-old son at her house in Moulali on Tuesday. The boy had several bleeding injuries over his back, legs and face.

According to sources the incident has taken place in Moula Ali located in Neredmet police station limits. Reshma (24) was married to Chand Pasha n 2008. From some time, the couple was living separately, while Reshma was living with her boyfriend Mahesh, a driver from Neredmet. Few days ago, Reshma’s elder son Ayaan told his father Chand that he wants to see his mother. On Tuesday, Reshma called Chand near Moula Ali railway station to take their son back. When Chand went to the spot, he found that their son suffered bleeding injuries. He immediately informed the Neredmet police about the incident.

The boy had several bleeding injuries over his back, legs and face. The police had immediately rushed the boy to Gandhi hospital for treatment. The accused Reshma and her boyfriend Mahesh were detained by the police, the sources said adding that, Reshma told police that her son was creating nuisance at home and she tried to control him, that was when, her son received injuries. Meanwhile, the Balala Hakkula Sangham condemned the dangerous acts of the child’s mother and demanded the police register a case of attempt to murder against the woman.

The BHS alleged that the accused Reshma and her boyfriend Mahesh took the extreme step of torturing the boy to extract money from Chand Pasha. The Neredmet Police booked a case under section 384, section 324 and section 506 of IPC and arrested the accused persons.
