Sircilla Sadhana Committee welcomes CM' decision

Sircilla Sadhana Committee welcomed the decision of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to carve out Sircilla district from the existing Karimnagar. The committee leaders thanked the Chief Minister for respecting the public demand. The Chief Minister reportedly gave his nod to create Sircilla district at a meeting with district leaders, including Ministers Etela Rajendar, K Taraka Rama Rao, MPs, MLAs, ZP chairperson and others in Hyderabad on Monday.

Accordingly, Karimnagar district will be carved out into four districts. According to information available here, Sircilla will have 13 mandals, including Vemulawada. Meanwhile, the ongoing agitation to keep Husnabad and Koheda mandals in Karimnagar district has picked up momentum on Monday. JAC chairman Kodandaram addressed a rally in Husnabad where he demanded the government to respect public demand. However, the government did not take any decision on the issue.
