With an objective to attract investments in the State’s information technology industry, Panchayat Raj and Information Technology Minister KT Rama Rao would tour the United States of America for two weeks from May 5.

Officials said that KTR would meet giants of the industry in the US and also non-resident Indians to impress upon them the need to invest in Telangana state. He would attend meetings to be organised by the NRI community at Washington DC, New York, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Bay Area and elsewhere.

He would discuss the role of NRIs and their partnership in building Golden Telangana. The Minister would attend a special dinner, along with Indian Ambassador Arun K Singh.

The Minister would broach the New Industrial Policy of the State with US-based industrialists and share opportunities available here for profitable investments. The salient points of the Industrial Policy like self-declaration, time-bound clearances and the like would be outlined by him.
