Security issues delay Baahubali audio
Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali has created nationwide hype and fan hysteria for its backdrop and star cast. The film made on a staggering budget of Rs 180 crore, is in the last leg of its post production and is poised for release in July.
Meanwhile, the film-makers have planned to host a grand audio launch of the film on May 31 in Hyderabad. However, the function has been postponed indefinitely due to unforced circumstances, as told by Rajamouli. Addressing the media, Rajamouli said, “We wanted to host a huge audio launch for Baahubali. But, the event was canceled in the eleventh hour due to security concerns raised by the police department.
As we are planning such a big function, it’s our responsibility to accommodate the fans and movie buffs who throng the venue to shower their blessings on us. Keeping in view of the incidents happened at a couple of audio releases in the past, we are contemplating to re-work on the audio launch process and will announce the new date shortly. On behalf of my team, I sincerely apologise Prabhas fans for the delay.”
Further Rajamouli asserted that the audio launch is not to create any hype by its grandeur but to present Prabhas to his fans. “We have reached the saturation point in terms of the hype and craze of Baahubali. We don’t need excessive publicity to increase the hype,” adds Rajamouli. While the Hindi version’s trailer will be unveiled on June 1 in Mumbai, the Telugu version’s trailer will take some time to woo Prabhas fans.
