Right from the start Ram Charan's upcoming film My Name is Raju has been phenomenal in trade circles. Insiders believe that the combination of Charan and director Srinu Vaitla would do wonders at the box office. Making the prediction come true, the overseas theatrical rights of the film have fetched Rs 6 crore.

The rights were snapped by a leading distribution giant in the US. This is a record in Charan's career, thanks to the immense popularity Vaitla enjoys in the overseas circuit. Ram Charan's earlier outings did pretty ordinary business in the US and even his super-hit films such as Naayak and Yevadu failed to join the $ 1 million club in the territory. So, it was indeed a big challenge for the actor to prove his mettle and silence his critics who had taunted that Charan had feeble market in overseas.
