Balakrishna starrer Lion, which was supposed to hit the theatres on May 1, is now pushed by a week, say reports. The film which marks the debut of Satya Deva as the director, is facing financial issues.

The business is yet to be closed and those in the know say the distributors are not showing interest to seal the deal. As a result, the release was pushed by a week, says the buzz. The delay in Lion’s release has paved way for small films Lakshmi Manchu starrer Dongaata, Naga Shaurya’s Jadoogadu and Varun Sandesh’s Lava Kusa. These films are all set to hit the screens on May 1. Since the release date is nearing, the filmmakers are running from pillar to post to get the pre-release activities done on time.
