It has been quite a while that popular filmmaker Ashwini Dutt produced a full-fledged film. Though his successors [daughters] are making films now and then, Dutt’s place can’t be filled that easily. Known as a tough task maker, Dutt had plans to make a strong comeback and booked superstar Mahesh Babu for a project, but things failed to materialize due to various reasons and so got delayed.

Here is a scoop about the project. Producer Dutt initially roped in Puri Jagannadh to helm the project; however, the former has changed his mind. It is heard that Dutt is apparently not happy with Puri, who is working without a break and is least concerned about the project with Mahesh. Irked by this, Dutt reportedly asked "Temper” movie writer Vakkantham Vamsi to direct the film with Mahesh.

In fact, Vamsi has been waiting for an opportunity to direct a film since ages. Earlier, he had plans to make his directorial debut with a Jr NTR film, yet again things could not fall in place. As they say, patience pays off; Vamsi seems to have landed in a right path to make it even bigger in Tollywood.
