Eligibility relaxation for PSU bank chiefs

Government is in search of chiefs for five public sector banks namely; Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, IDBI Bank, Canara Bank and Punjab National Bank.
In order to fill the vacancies, government has relaxed the eligibility criteria in terms of experience and age of the applicants.
Government has increased the age limit from 55 years to 57 years to pool the applicants.
The minimum broad-level experience is reduced to one year from three years and the applications are invited till May 5, 2015.
The overall experience requirement of 15 years in the mainstream banking remains unchanged.
