Microsoft launches new cloud programme to propel India to the cloud

Microsoft India has announced the launch of a special Cloud Accelerator Programme to make Indian enterprises and government organisations aware of its usage to start and complete their cloud journey.
The announcement was made at the 2015 Microsoft Azure cloud conference. The Cloud Accelerator Programme has been designed to help India move to the cloud, and in turn, help ‘Make in India’ a reality.
In addition to the Cloud Accelerator Programme, Microsoft has also launched cloud training programmes and Cloud Decision Framework.
Cloud training programmes such as Azure Vidyapeeth and GuruVarta will upskill partners to help 10,000 SMBs across 250 cities to move to the cloud.
The Cloud Decision Framework is an independent, open framework based on industry standards and regulator-guidelines for public sector companies, government departments, banks, and financial services companies.
More than 1,500 cloud professionals and another 15,000 participants via the virtual conference are expected to attend the two-day Cloud Accelerator programme in India.
The Cloud Accelerator programme will help organisations to not only plan local cloud road maps, but also increase compliance with local regulations.
