Schemes rolled out in Telangana

Parallel to the national launch, Etela Rajender, Finance minister, Telangana government, has formally launched the schemes in Hyderabad. He said the State is targeting at achieving 60 lakh insurance accounts as part of these schemes as per the initial plan. Nationally, all the schemes together have achieved an enrolment of 5.05 crore enrollments, of which Telangana has contributed 23 lakhs, and 13 lakhs of this has come from State Bank of Hyderabad.

Also present were Smriti Zubin Irani, Union minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India and Telangana BJP president and MLA G Kishan Reddy besides V Viswanathan, chief general manager, State Bank of Hyderabad.
